Sara McGowan is a Physiotherapist and as such abides with the professional standards of practice expected by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. 

Pilates classes taught by Sara, are provided within the scope of Physiotherapy practice.  Professional indemnity insurance and PLI are provided by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

Payments, Cancellations and refunds

Bookings made through My Fitness Class are final, no refunds can be given so please be sure of your purchase. Your class is not confirmed until payment has been received.

Cancellations

Please give as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend a booked class.  Any cancellations made less than 24hours prior to class running will be fully charged.  If using a class pass, the class will be deducted from your pass and a link to the recording sent via email.  
No shows will be fully charged.

If you are unable to attend your booked in-person class you will be sent a link to a class recording for you to complete within a week should you wish to. If you miss your booked Zoom class, you will be sent the link to the recorded class and will be able to catch up in your own time.  All recordings are available for 5 days.

Missed or cancelled in-person classes cannot be carried over to another term / class block.

In the class (in-person or Zoom)

Please arrive or log on 5 minutes prior to your class to allow for signing in, and to ensure the class starts on time.

Please let Sara know any changes which may affect your ability to exercise prior to class.  

Participation in Pilates classes is at the individual’s own risk. Always listen to your body and exercise at a pace and level which is best for you. Stop if you feel discomfort and let Sara know. It is your responsibility to ensure you are capable of carrying out the exercises provided.

Recordings

Recordings of Zoom classes are available for anyone booked into the class.  Recordings will usually be available for 4 days and only accessible for those whom have completed and returned a Health and Consent form.  Sara McGowan accepts no responsibility for any injury incurred whilst exercising without live supervision.  Recordings are offered to those who are unable to attend a class (whether live in-person class or Zoom class).

Privacy Notice & Data protection

Your name and contact details will be kept and used for registration purposes.  Your data will be kept in line with the requirements of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and General Data Protection Regulations. All information you provide is held in strict confidence and information is never passed to third parties.

What data do I gather?

Your name, contact details, including email address and mobile number will be collected on registration.  You will be asked to complete a Health and Consent Questionnaire; this will cover important health information which will inform your Pilates programme.

Payment is taken using payment service called Stripe. 

How do I store personal data? 

Your details including health and consent form will be stored on Myfitnessclass data base and on my personal computer (2 -step authentication) on a database spreadsheet.  All data is reviewed annually and only that required is kept Physiotherapy and / or Pilates documentation is kept for 7 years and then disposed of following CSP guidelines.
